The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety approved Police Chief John Weir’s request to purchase a 2012 Ford F150 Quad Cab Pick Up Truck with 54,000 miles on it being sold for $20,000. The vehicle will be driven mainly by Assistant Chief Matthew Emenhiser who does not work the road. Other opportunities to purchase a vehicle estimated at $35,000. The board approved his request.

Chief Weir signed a Conflict of Interest Statement because he is related to the owner / seller of the vehicle. Because the family member is not a dependent it is not a violation of a Conflict of Interest but the disclosure was made in the interest of transparency.

Additionally, The board approved the street closure requests to accommodate the Cars & Coffee events held the first Saturday of every month on May 4, June 1, July 6, August 3, and September 7. The event is held at the Mobil Gas Station located at 1101 W. Jefferson St. Plymouth.
