Marshall County Treasurer Kelly Einspahr announced this week that property tax statements are arriving in the mail soon.
The spring property tax due date is May 10 while the fall due date is November 12.
Any property owner who has a lender-paid tax bill will see a watermark on the front page of the statement that reads “for informational purpose only”. Taxpayers are urged to call their lender to ensure that their tax liability will be paid.
The Marshall County Building is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET to collect tax payments. The Marshall County Commissioners have allowed extended collection times Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to noon, and Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. In the fall, the extended hours will be Saturday, November 2 from 9 a.m. to noon, and Thursday, November 7 and Tuesday, November 12 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.
Payments are also accepted through the mail by check, money order or cashier’s check. Mailed payments must be postmarked on or before May 10 for the spring due date and November 12 for the fall due date. Payments may also be completed online at www.co.marshall.in.us and click on property taxes.
Drop boxes are also available on the north and south entrances of the Marshall County Building.
