A Culver woman was arrested Tuesday, March 26 after Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to the area of Olive Trail and 13th Road in reference to a possible impaired driver.

Upon arrival, a deputy located a vehicle stationary in the middle of the intersection at Olive Road and 14B with the driver of the vehicle slumped over at the wheel, according to the report.

The deputy identified the driver as 56-year-old Kathy Brady of Culver. Police say suspected controlled substances were located in the vehicle and Brady was suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Brady was transported to the hospital for a chemical test. She was then transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on preliminary misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, and possession of a schedule I, II, III, IV, or V controlled substance.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
