The Marshall County Highway Department has closed Union Road between U.S. 6 and Plymouth-LaPorte Trail for a bridge replacement project.
Marshall County Highway Department Superintendent Jason Peters said the road will be closed to all traffic to address the replacement of Bridge #11. He said the road will be closed for approximately four months.
Officials are urging drivers to seek an alternate route during construction.
Peters told the Marshall County Commissioners this week that the county will be advertising for bids this week for shimming and tightening timber bridges, power washing and cleaning timber and concrete bridges, and sealing concrete and timber bridges.
