A Plymouth man was arrested Sunday, March 17 after Plymouth Police Department officers responded to a residence on First St. in reference to a 911 hang up.
During interaction with the caller, he allegedly provided a false name to police. Upon further investigation, the man was identified as 34-year-old Dominic Sheets. He was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Tippecanoe County.
During the investigation, police say it was determined that a search warrant was needed for the residence. Due to items reportedly found during the execution of the search warrant, 56-year-old Raymond Powers of Plymouth was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of methamphetamine.
Police say Dominic Sheets faces the same charges, in addition to a preliminary charge of false informing and the outstanding warrant.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
