A traffic stop initiated March 17 at 1:48 a.m. ET resulted in the arrest of the driver.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy conducted the traffic stop after the driver reportedly committed traffic infractions.
The driver, 31-year-old Jamie Flatt of South Bend, was believed to be driving under the influence. Flatt was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
