Plymouth Police Department Investigates Call of Vehicle Taken

The Plymouth Police Department investigated a call of a vehicle taken without the owner’s permission Friday, March 1 at 6:30 a.m. ET in the 300 block of Conger Street.

Police say the vehicle was quickly located in the area of Madison and Plum Streets, where a traffic stop was conducted.


The suspect and driver of the vehicle was identified as Stacey J. Griffin, 47, of Plymouth.

During the officer’s investigation, it was found that Griffin was also intoxicated and operating a vehicle at more than three times the legal limit, according to the report.

Griffin was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated over .15, unauthorized control of a motor vehicle, and operator never licensed.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
