The Marshall County Highway Department has been awarded an Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said the county will receive $149,333 for two electric pickups and an electric upgrade. Commissioner Kevin Overmyer asked if the grant money covered a charging station and Peters confirmed that it was included in the grant.
This is reimbursable grant. Peters said he will talk with the Marshall County Council members to discuss which fund the money will come from until the grant money reimburses the county.
