A Knox man was arrested Thursday, February 29 after Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute near the Marathon Station on West Jefferson Street.
When officers arrived at the scene two occupants were removed from a vehicle. Police say an odor of marijuana was present from inside the vehicle and on the two occupants. While searching for the driver of the vehicle, 36-year-old Derick Platz-Pearish, of Knox, police say suboxone was reportedly found in his right front pocket for which he had no prescription.
Platz-Pearish was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession of a legend drug.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
