Four Traffic Stops in Plymouth Lead to Arrests

Four traffic stops led to arrests in Plymouth.

A traffic stop was conducted by the Plymouth Police Department Friday, March 22 at 6:11 p.m. ET on a vehicle at Jefferson St. and Eighth St. for an illegal window tint.
During the investigation at the stop, police say the driver, Edwin Tovar-Oriz, 20, of Plymouth, had never had a driver’s license. Tovar-Oriz was taken into custody, transported to Marshall County Jail, and booked on a preliminary charge of operator never licensed.

A short time later, an officer conducted a traffic stop at Jefferson and Beerenbrook for an illegal window tint. During the investigation of the stop, it was determined that the driver, Marvin Colindres Hernandez, 34, of Plymouth, had never had a driver’s license, according to the report. He was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked on a preliminary charge of operator never licensed.

Later that evening, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle at the Oak Ridge Village Mobile Home Park for a headlight out on the vehicle. During the investigation, police say it determined that the driver, Jose Rivera-Pagoada, 25, of Plymouth, had never had a driver’s license. Rivera-Pagoada was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked on a preliminary charge of operator never licensed.

On Saturday, March 23, at 12:36 a.m. ET, Plymouth Police observed a speeding vehicle eastbound on U.S. 30 near the Oak Road intersection. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle and the subsequent investigation revealed the driver, Macy Alsanders, 25, of South Bend, was allegedly operating the vehicle with a suspended license. During the investigation, marijuana was also reportedly located in the vehicle. Alsanders was taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail for driving while suspended with a prior conviction, and possession of marijuana.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
