The Culver Community School Board members recently approved summer school offerings, according to Superintendent Karen Shuman.
“In our Elementary School we’ll have the Read 180 program, an I- READ program, and a kindergarten recovery-type program for any students that we feel could use a little boost during the kindergarten summer to first grade,” said Shuman. “At the High School, we’ll be offering credit recovery alternative education, an Ag program, and a Band program throughout the summer.”
Elementary School summer school is June 3-7 and the high school starting dates and participation will vary depending on which programs the students take.
Additionally, the school board recognized Theresa Hammond who will be retiring after teaching at the corporation for over 30 years. She teaches High School Biology, AP and Chemistry.
The board was also informed about the archery program at the Culver Elementary School in a presentation by instructor Andrea Berndt and Jake Rogers.
