Bremen Town Council Approves Bid for Pickleball Project

The Bremen Town Council members approved a bid for a pickleball construction project during their meeting Monday, March 11.

Mike Reese from The Troyer Group recommended awarding bids from Brown and Brown General Contractors with the base bid being $288,000 and alternate 3 for sidewalk access from the south at a cost of $6,000 for a total of $294,000.

The council unanimously approved the bids as recommended.

There will be six pickleball courts constructed in this project which is preliminarily expected to be complete by the beginning of July. It will also include outer fencing, fencing between courts, and an ADA parking space. The pickleball courts will be located in Sunnyside Park north of the girls varsity softball field.

This project is being funded in part by READI 1.0 funds.
