Traffic Stop Leads to Warrant Arrest

A traffic stop in the area of Pioneer Drive north of U.S. 30 in Plymouth resulted in the arrest of the driver on an active warrant.

According to the Plymouth Police Department, an officer conducted a traffic stop after having observed a vehicle speeding on Pioneer Drive and Miller Drive around 7:30 p.m. ET. The vehicle pulled over on Pioneer Drive north of U.S. 30. Officers reportedly witnessed the driver climb into the back seat of the vehicle. The driver refused to identify himself, according to the report. Police say upon further investigation the driver, who originally gave a false name, was later identified as 28-year-old Tevin Forrest of Mishawaka. Forrest had a suspended driver’s license and had an arrest warrant out of Saint Joseph County.

Forrest was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and was booked on a preliminary charge of false informing and for his active warrant.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
