Plymouth Police Chief Weir Updates Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety

Plymouth Police Department Chief John Weir updated the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety during their regular meeting on Monday, February 26.

Sgt. Ray West, Sgt. Ryan Richey, and Sgt. Timothy Taberski facilitated the promotion process by interviewing nine prospects for the Corporal position.

Corporal Travis Schieber will be assigned to midnights, Corporal Ben McIntyre will be assigned to days, and Corporal Joshua Baker will be assigned to second shift.

Derek Workman was promoted to Detective, and Richard Henry Ayala is Assistant Detective.

Additionally, Chief Weir is seeking a second School Resource Officer (SRO) and a K-9 position.

An offer of employment was made for the Police Aide position. The employee comes to the department with seven years of experience from Marshall County including CAD and various certifications.

Former Chief David Bacon and Police Aide Becky Carswell will be honored at the Plymouth Police Department Thursday, February 29 with a Retirement Open House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET.
