The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two-vehicle accident Wednesday, February 14 at 6 p.m. ET at the intersection of Oak Road and U.S. 30.
Police say a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Bryan McGowen was traveling northbound on Oak Road at the U.S. 30 intersection when he disregarded the red traffic signal for the northbound lanes and proceeded through the intersection. Meanwhile, a 2024 International driven by Wayne Humphrey continued through the intersection with a green traffic signal for the east and westbound lanes. As a result, McGowen’s vehicle collided with the rear axles of the semi which rendered both vehicles unable to operate, according to the report.
A child passenger in the back seat of McGowen’s vehicle was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Police Department, and Plymouth Fire and EMS.
