Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel recently released the department statistics and jail statistics for January 2024.
The top 10 arrests for the month include failure to appear, operator never licensed, domestic battery, operating while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, driving while suspended, dealing, battery, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department had 69 arrests, Plymouth Police Department had 39 arrests, Indiana State Police had 11 arrests, Bremen Police Department had 8 arrests, Community Corrections had 4 arrests, Argos Police Department had 3 arrests, and Culver Police Department had 2 arrests.
There were 89 accidents in January, 78 warning/citations issued, 24 security checks, and 61 case reports.
The 911 Central Dispatch received a total of 4,052 calls in January with 1,291 of those calls to 911.
The jail population on February 20 was 157. There are 1,362 active warrants in the county.
