The Marshall County Election Board members unanimously approved several resolutions during a meeting February 9.
One resolution allows contested Republican candidates for Precinct Committeeman and Republican and Democratic candidates for the 2024 State Convention to serve as an absentee election officer, machine technician or poll worker during the 2024 Primary Election.
Another resolution allows individuals ages 16 and 17 to serve as poll clerks under Indiana code. The individual must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of the county, have a grade point average no less than a 3.0, and have the written approval of the principal of the school and a legal guardian. The individual must complete training as required by the Election Board.
The last resolution amends the Vote Center Plan. A previous published story outlined the dates, times and locations of early voting and Election Day voting.
