A Yellow River data gauge near Bremen is now viewable on the National Weather Service (NWS) website.
According to Scott Pelath, Executive Director of the Kankakee River Basin and Yellow River Basin Development Commission, coordination between the National Weather Service and the private sector gauge supplier, OTT HydroMet, now allows river data for Bremen to be viewable on the NWS website.

Pelath said the gauge was installed last fall in direct partnership with the Marshall County Drainage Board. Both parties hope the data will give a better sense of how quickly water moves through the Yellow River between Bremen and Plymouth. It is yet another tool to assess impending flood risks.
