Plymouth Man Arrested on Suspicion of Drug Possession

A Plymouth man was arrested Friday, January 12 after a traffic stop was conducted by a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputy in the area of U.S. 31 and U.S. 6.

During the stop, K9 Diesel was utilized and a subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted. Officers reportedly located a small amount of suspected Fentanyl inside the vehicle. As a result, the driver, 34-year-old Douglas Howard of Plymouth, was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was booked on preliminary charges of driving while suspended with a prior conviction and possession of a narcotic drug.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
