Plymouth City Council Reorganizes, Makes Appointments

The Plymouth City Council reorganized when they met Monday evening.

The council voted to retain Don Ecker Jr. as the Mayor Pro Temp. They also voted to appoint Dennis Manuwal, Jr. to the Unsafe Building and Premises Board, retain Randy Longanecker to the Plymouth Plan Commission, retain Brandon Richie on the Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals, and retain Mike Miley and Billy Ellinger on the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission.

All department heads were retained including City Engineer Daniel Sellers, Planning Consultant Ralph Booker, Mayor Secretary Laura Mann, Airport Manager Bill Sheley, City Building Inspector Dennis Manuwal Jr., Cemetery Superintendent Michael Collins, Parks and Recreation Superintendent Michael Hite, Street and Sanitation Superintendent Jim Marquardt, Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson, Fire Chief Steve Holm and Police Chief David Bacon.

The council voted to keep the meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m. ET with the exception of the last meeting in May and the first meeting in November. In observance of Memorial Day and Veterans Day, the Plymouth City Council meetings will be held Tuesday, May 28 and Tuesday, November 12 at 6:30 p.m. ET. All meetings will be held in the second floor Council Chambers room in the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street.
