Triton School Board Approves Requests from Superintendent

The Triton School Board took action on a request from Superintendent Jeremy Riffle.

Riffle asked for the board’s approval of a supplemental pay request for the corporation to distribute Teacher Appreciation Grant awards to all Certified staff in the corporation.

Riffle also told the board that Non-Certified staff would be included in the award as a way to say thank you from the Administration and the Board.

Additionally, Riffle told the board that progress continued to be made by officials from Triton, Argos, and Plymouth schools to replace the services of the JESSE Cooperative that will end in the next six months.

A cooperative between the three schools has been making progress towards matching those services and Riffle told the board that he was confident that the cooperative would provide equal if not better services for the needs of Special Education students in the three corporations.

He recommended the approval of a Memorandum of Understanding between Argos, Plymouth, and Triton for the cooperative for Special Education.
