The City of Plymouth held the last Common Council and Board of Public Works meetings for 2023 Wednesday evening.
During the Plymouth Common Council meeting, Mayor Mark Senter was awarded the State of Indiana Council of the Sagamores of the Wabash. City Attorney Sean Surrisi presented the award to Senter on behalf of Governor Eric Holcomb.
Attorney Surrisi was presented with a Key to the City from Mayor Senter for his years of service to the community.
The Council approved the transfer of $500,000 in unspent funds to the Rainy Day Fund.
During the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety meeting, Utilities Superintendent Donnie Davidson requested approval to hire an additional new employee to serve as a full-time maintenance and repair technician. His request was approved. The employee will work 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and will be responsible for completing maintenance duties at the Water Treatment Facilities as assigned.
