Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety Ratifies Executive Order

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety ratified Executive Order No. 2023-05 Regarding the Placement of Items Within the Tree Lawn.

The request for the Executive Order came from a need that arose for Kevin Berger of Culver Sand Hill Farms who is also the Developer for the Riverside Commons Project on Baker Street and Richter Street.

They are nearing conclusion on construction with completion expected by February.

Berger had a former agreement with the neighboring property owner, who also sold him the land, that he could utilize the neighboring property to the west to place a construction office trailer and a dumpster through the duration of the project.

According to City Attorney Sean Surrisi, there has since been progress made regarding a potential sale for the neighboring property owner to sell that portion of land resulting in the need for those items to be removed.

Berger requested permission for his construction office trailer and the dumpster to be placed in the tree lawn on Baker Street which is wide enough to accommodate the request.

Mayor Mark Senter authorized the request with the caveat that Culver Sand Hill Farms will be required to repair any damage to the grass.

Member Don Ecker made a motion to ratify the Executive Order, member Jeff Houin seconded. All members voted in favor of the ratification.
