One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday, December 7 at 10:40 a.m. ET at the intersection of State Road 17 and Glen Overmyer Drive west of Plymouth.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, a 2009 brown Kia passenger car driven by 85-year-old Richard W. Shay of Chesterton drove into the path of a 2022 red Subaru SUV driven by 75-year-old Judy Goebel of Plymouth as he was attempting to make a left turn from State Road 17 onto Glen Overmyer Drive.
Shay was transported from the scene to the local hospital for minor injuries.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Police Department and the Plymouth Fire Department.
