Indiana State Police Investigates Crash in Marshall County

Indiana State Police troopers are investigating a crash Tuesday, December 5 in the area of U.S. 31 and State Road 110.

Police were notified of the crash at 2:19 p.m. ET that involved two pickup trucks in the northbound lanes on U.S. 31.

Police say the preliminary investigation found that a blue 2002 Ford pickup was traveling southbound on U.S. 31 and made a left turn to go east on State Road 110. The driver, 54-year-old Matthew Kneller, of Silver Lake, Indiana, is alleged to have not yielded to northbound traffic and pulled into the path of a pickup truck. As result, his pickup was hit broadside by a maroon 2013 Dodge pickup traveling northbound in the right lane, driven by 35-year-old Joseph Mazurek of Booneville, Kentucky.

Kneller was transported to a regional hospital with serious injuries that are not life-threatening. Mazurek was not injured in the crash.

Both lanes of northbound U.S. 31 were closed for nearly two hours to complete the investigation.

The Indiana State Police was assisted by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, Argos Police Department, Lutheran Ground, and Argos EMS.
