Two people were arrested Tuesday, November 7 after a traffic stop conducted by Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies.
The traffic stop was conducted at 5:30 a.m. ET in the area of U.S. 30 over Michigan Road for speeding. The driver, later identified as 45-year-old Brian D. Johnson, initially provided the wrong name to deputies in an alleged attempt to hide his full extradition warrant by the U.S. Marshal Service.
The female passenger, 34-year-old Hannah M. Meekins of West Warren, Massachusetts, also allegedly lied to police about Johnson’s true identity.
Both Johnson and Meekins were arrested on preliminary charges of false informing. Johnson also faces a preliminary charge of operator never licensed in addition to his full extradition warrant.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
