The Northern Indiana Food Bank and our reporting partner WNDU-TV are partnering to make sure families that are a little less fortunate are able to have a Thanksgiving turkey on the table this year.
The Turkeys on the Table Challenge heads to Marshall County today. Officials will distribute free turkeys to families in need this holiday season. The drive-thru distribution is today at Jane’s Park Playground at 600 Woodies Lane in Bremen from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. ET while supplies last. This event is expected to serve 150 households.
They will travel to the Plymouth Parks at 1660 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET. This distribution will serve 250 households and will take place by the pool parking lot.
Distributions are first come, first served while supplies last for those in need of food assistance. One turkey will be given per household.
Distributions are drive thru. Please remain in the vehicle and open the vehicle’s trunk to receive the turkey. An area will be available for self-loading if the trunk does not open.
