The Town of Argos is gearing up for the holiday season.
Argos Economic Director Mark VanDerWeele told the Argos Town Council last week that the annual Turkey Trot event will be taking place Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Novvember 23 at 8:30 a.m. ET at the Community Park. This is a 5K run/walk. To enter this event, people are asked to bring a canned food item.
He then shared that on the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 24 from 6p.m. to 8 p.m. ET, Argos’ Hometown Christmas Cheer would be taking place at the Nickel Plate Square. This event features the town’s tree lighting. Argos Elementary School’s Glee Club will be singing. Additional music will be played through speakers during the event.
