Marshall County voters headed to the polls to cast ballots in the November Municipal General Election Tuesday.
There were several contested races on ballots in Plymouth, Argos, Bourbon, and Culver.
For Mayor of the City of Plymouth, it was Democrat Robert W. Listenberger winning the race with 732 votes. Republican Greg Compton received 714 votes.
For Plymouth City Council At-Large, the top three candidates with the most votes won the seats in that race. The winners include Republican Linda Starr with 779 votes, Democrat David F. Morrow with 707 votes, and Republican Kayla Krathwohl with 672 votes. The other candidates were Democrat Jeff Houin with 654 votes, Republican Brandon Richie with 612 votes, and Democrat Jennifer M. Fonseca with 436 votes.
It was Incumbent Republican Duane Culp retaining his seat for Plymouth City Council District 1. He received 126 votes and Democrat challenger Megan Rogers received 73 votes.
Incumbent Republican Don Ecker, Jr. will return as the District 2 representative for the Plymouth City Council. He received 232 votes while Democrat challenger Cooky Olivarez Jr. received 110 votes.
For Plymouth City Council District 3, it was Incumbent Democrat Shiloh Milner retaining her seat with 209 votes and Republican challenger Andrew Atkins with 174 votes.
The District 4 seat for the Plymouth City Council will remain with Incumbent Republican Randy Longanecker as the representative. He received 302 votes while Democrat Cathy Huff Wraight got 209 votes.
For the Argos Town Council At-Large seat, the candidates receiving the most votes for the three eligible seats include Incumbent Republican Charles Randy Snead with 67 votes, Incumbent Democrat Shawn L. Harley with 59 votes, and Republican Robert D. Byers with 56 votes. Incumbent Gary L. Schue received 46 votes.
In the Bourbon Town Council At-Large race, the candidates receiving the most votes for the two eligible seats include Democrat Jonah Best with 101 votes and Incumbent Republican Terry L. Clemens with 99 votes. Republican Spencer S. Standley received 94 votes.
In the Culver Town Council At-Large race, the candidates receiving the most votes for the three eligible seats include Republican Dana Neer with 154 votes, Incumbent Republican Sally Ricciardi with 152 votes, and Republican Ginny Bess Munroe with 147 votes. Incumbent Democrat Richard (Rich) West received 121 votes.
The only non-contested races involved the Clerk-Treasurer positions. Those candidates to serve include Incumbent Republican Lynn M. Gorski for the City of Plymouth, Incumbent Republican Lisa Mullaney for the Town of Argos, Incumbent Democrat Kimberly A. Berger for the Town of Bourbon, and Incumbent Republican Karen A. Heim for the Town of Culver.
There were 8,799 eligible voters in this November Municipal General election and 1,951 voters cast ballots. There were 367 Republican straight party ticket votes and 162 Democrat straight party ticket votes. The Marshall County Election Board will certify the election November 17.
