Juvenile Injured in U.S. 6 Crash in Marshall County

Indiana State Police Troopers are investigating a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 6 near Sycamore Road that occurred at 8:18 a.m. ET Monday, November 13.

When troopers arrived, they found a semi on its side blocking both westbound and eastbound lanes of U.S. 6.

Police say a preliminary investigation found that a gray Nissan Rogue was traveling northbound on Sycamore Road when the driver failed to stop for the stop sign at U.S. 6. As the Nissan went through the stop sign, it collided with the left side of a white 2023 Freightliner semi and trailer traveling westbound.  The collision caused the semi to roll onto its right side, blocking U.S. 6.

The driver of the Nissan, a 17-year-old juvenile, was transported to a regional hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.  The driver of the Freightliner was not injured in the crash.

A gray 2019 Nissan Rogue also received minor damage in this crash.  The driver of this vehicle was not injured.

The Indiana State Police was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Walkerton Police Department, Walkerton EMS, and Polk Township Fire Department.
