Culver Town Council Discusses Town Marshal Overtime, Holiday Lights Installation

The Culver Town Council members again approved overtime for Town Marshal Wayne Bean at their most recent meeting.

The council members agreed at their last meeting to review the need to extend overtime for Bean on a month-to-month basis due to a staffing shortage.

The town marshal is allowed to collect overtime on any hours worked over 84 hours worked in a two week period.

It was noted at the recent meeting that Bean is looking to hold interviews for candidates who have applied for open positions on the Culver Police Department.

In other news, Culver Park Superintendent Amber Cowell asked the Culver Town Council to approve a vendor to install and remove holiday lights at the Culver Town Park.  She recommended the approval of the quote from FH Decks and Landscaping in the amount of $5,220.  Another quote she obtained was for over $6,800.  The council unanimously approved the lower quote.
