A Columbia City woman was arrested Wednesday, November 15 after a traffic stop in Marshall County.
The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call for a possible impaired driver headed south on U.S. 31. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at U.S. 30 and Gumwood Road.
Police say the driver, 32-year-old Yuri Y. Bailey was found to be driving under the influence of narcotics. She was also reportedly found to be in possession of syringes, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.
She was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in the body, possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle, and trafficking with an inmate.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
