Officials from the City of Plymouth have prepared a draft plan of the Plymouth Forward 2040 Comprehensive Plan and are now seeking public comment on the document.
This draft is an update to the city’s 2013 Comprehensive Plan and represents the collective vision and strategic direction to keep moving Plymouth forward to 2040. Input was given from residents and stakeholders in several different engagement events or activities throughout the planning process, but now more public input is sought to make sure it is the public’s vision into the city’s future.
The city is offering a comment period, giving an opportunity for the community to review the draft plan and share input. The draft plan is accessible for electronic viewing at www.plymouthforward.com with an online comment form, or printed copies are available at City Hall and the Plymouth Public Library with feedback optional in paper form. Comments can also be made by calling 574-287-1829 extension 503. Comments will be received until November 17.
Upon the conclusion of the public comment period, the next steps in the process will be to seek the City Plan Commission’s endorsement of approval and then final approval by the City Council at their respective meetings in December.
