Plymouth Man Arrested for Domestic Battery with a Deadly Weapon

Deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence in the 13,000 block of Michigan Road Wednesday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. ET in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Police say Central Dispatch received a report of two men engaged in a confrontation consisting of one threatening to stab the other while the other was pointing a firearm at them.

Deputies made contact with the subjects and upon investigating the incident, 54-year-old Jose Cantero of Plymouth was suspected of pointing a loaded firearm and battering another man.

Cantero was transported to the Marshall Jail and booked on preliminary charges of pointing a loaded firearm, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and domestic battery with a deadly weapon.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
