North Michigan Street at Hoham Drive in Plymouth will be closed Wednesday, October 11 through Friday, October 13 for the installation of a new storm sewer culvert.
The project is part of the ongoing widening of Hoham Drive between Michigan Street and Western Avenue.
According to city officials, the widening project, originally planned to be completed this fall, has experienced significant delays attributed to NIPSCO and its subcontractors’ work to relocate underground gas lines in the area. The gas line relocation work is now done, and Milestone Contractors North will now get to work on the new storm sewer culvert this week.
The crew will return the week of October 30 to install a new water main through late November and it will be then when Hoham Drive is open for winter. Paving will be done in early spring.
