Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Responds to Injury Accident

Three people were injured in an accident Thursday, October 26 just before 4 p.m. ET.

Emergency responders were called to a two-vehicle collision in the area of U.S. 6 near U.S. 31.  According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, a gray Chrysler van driven by 21-year-old Ashton L. Wilson had been traveling eastbound on U.S. 6 when a blue Ford passenger vehicle driven by 81-year-old Loretta M. Howard failed to yield to the van and attempted to go from U.S. 6 westbound to the ramp for southbound U.S. 31.  The van then collided with the passenger car, according to the report.

One occupant was entrapped inside one of the vehicles with both drivers and a passenger being transported to a regional hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the LaPaz Police Department, LaPaz EMS and Fire, and the Department of Natural Resources.
