The Argos Community School Board members took action this week to ratify the two-year Master Teacher Contract.
Superintendent Ned Speicher said the contract that addresses the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years has several different parts to it.
Speicher commented, “One part is that all teachers will receive a $1,000 academic needs increase to their base contract. The other part is their actual raise. It will be $2,074 for all teachers that have an effective evaluation and a $2,178 increase for all teachers with a highly effective evaluation. Another component of that is there will be a $500 Christmas break stipend for all teachers.”
Speicher added that the board increased its contribution to the health insurance premium which totaled $600 for the year.
Speicher said the Teachers Association ratified the agreement in a previous setting and the board unanimously ratified the contract this week.
