Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales and the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) encourage residents to celebrate national Voter Registration Month by registering to vote or updating their existing registration.
Voter registration is available at county clerk’s offices or online at IndianaVoters.com The deadline to register to vote is October 10 for the upcoming Municipal Election Tuesday, November 7.
To be eligible to vote in Indiana, a person must have a valid Indiana Driver’s License or Indiana State Identification Card or other government issued photo ID; be a citizen of the United States; be at least 18 years old on or before the next General, Municipal, or Special Election; have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the next General, Municipal, or Special Election, or not currently imprisoned after being convicted of a crime.
A 17-year-old may register and vote in the Primary Election if the voter turns 18 on or before the next General or Municipal Election.
September 19 will be highlighted as National Voter Registration Day.
