Reckless Driving Results in Arrest

Plymouth Police Department officers responded to Jefferson and Walnut Street for reports of a reckless driver Saturday, September 2 just after midnight.

Later in the morning an officer observed the suspect vehicle traveling south on Oak Road in excess of the posted speed.

A traffic stop was initiated at Family Express on Oak and Jefferson. During the investigation, the driver, Glenn A. Manns, 18, of Plymouth was determined to be in possession of alcohol, under the influence, and expected to have been operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Manns was booked into the Marshall County Jail for pending criminal charges for illegal consumption, illegal possession and operating while intoxicated.

In a separate incident, a Plymouth officer conducted a traffic stop near Michigan and Skylane Avenue Tuesday, September 5 at 5:30 a.m. ET.  During the stop, the officer determined that the driver, Lee R. Sanders, 56, of LaPorte, was reportedly operating without receiving a license.

Sanders was taken to the Marshall County Jail.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office. 


Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
