Plymouth Police Department Investigates Calls of Suspicious Circumstances

Two people were recently arrested after investigations by the Plymouth Police Department into calls of suspicious circumstances.

A Plymouth Police officer was conducting an investigation at the Economy Inn just after 2:30 a.m. ET Sunday, September 24.  During the investigation, the officer was speaking with 45-year-old David Ratcliff of Plymouth.  He was reportedly found to be in possession of legend drugs and allegedly attempted to discard the evidence.

Ratcliff was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail on pending criminal charges of possession of a legend drug and obstruction of justice.

Later that day, a Plymouth Police Department officer was called to the 800 block of North Walnut Street after Marshall County Dispatch received a 911 call from a man stating he needed help.  Upon arrival, an officer spoke with 28-year-old Tyler Stiles of Plymouth who was later arrested after an investigation.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of misuse of 911.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
