Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Investigates Calls

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to recent calls for assistance.

Marshall County Central Dispatch received a 911 call Saturday, September 23 of a possibly impaired driver at in the area of the 12000 block of Michigan Street. 

Marshall County Sheriff’s Department officers responded to the call and found John B Mooney, 46, unconscious in the driver seat. It was reportedly discovered that Mooney had been drinking.

After a certified breathalyzer test, Police say Mooney had a BAC of 0.219.  He was taken to the Marshall County Jail and booked on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC greater than .15.

Meanwhile, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies conducted an investigation in the 14,000 block of Union Rd on Thursday, September 21 at 11:30 p.m. ET and located 25-year-old Westin Bush-Berdine at a residence where police say he was found to be in violation of a protective order.

Bush-Berdine was taken into custody and taken to the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of invasion of privacy.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
