The Bremen Town Council members opened a public hearing last week on the proposed 2024 budget.
According to the Notice to Taxpayers listing on the Indiana Gateway website, the town’s major funds include the General Fund advertised at just over $3.2 million, the Debt Service Fund at $101,000, Local Road and Street at almost $153,000, Motor Vehicle Highway at about $978,000, Municipal Fire and Emergency Medical Services at $251,000, Park and Recreation at about $453,000, Cumulative Capital Development Fund at $300,000, Redevelopment Fund at about $2.3 million, and American Rescue Plan Act Fund at about $682,000. All funds total just under $9.2 million.
There were no public comments.
The council plans to adopt the budget at the next meeting Monday, September 25.
