The Bremen Town Council members approved the advertisement of the 2024 budget during their meeting last week.
According to the Notice to Taxpayers listing on the Indiana Gateway website, the town’s major funds include the General Fund advertised at just over $3.2 million, the Debt Service Fund at $101,000, Local Road and Street at almost $153,000, Motor Vehicle Highway at about $978,000, Municipal Fire and Emergency Medical Services at $251,000, Park and Recreation at about $453,000, Cumulative Capital Development Fund at $300,000, Redevelopment Fund at about $2.3 million, and American Rescue Plan Act Fund at about $682,000. All funds total just under $9.2 million.
The town council will hold a public hearing on the 2024 budget during their upcoming meeting Monday, September 11 at 3:45 p.m. ET at the Bremen Town Hall at 111 S. Center Street.
