Plymouth residents are encouraged to help identify the City of Plymouth’s top priorities in the Plymouth Forward 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
According to officials from the Michiana Area Council of Governments, the City of Plymouth and a project steering committee have been on the journey to create a plan to continue to move “Plymouth Forward” as a desirable and attractive place in which to live, visit, work, learn, collaborate, and play. During this process, city officials and the steering committee established a guiding vision, foundational values to hold up the vision, and the goals supporting the three core values: Wellbeing, Collaboration, and Growth.
Residents can help in the next process by completing a brief survey that asks to prioritize the strategies under each of the goals, organized by the three core values, that the city should first focus on implementing. Then, make known support of the Future Character Map and the Character Area Descriptions.
The survey and future character map are accessible for online input at http://www.plymouthforward.com under the “Get Involved” section and will be available now through September 18th.
There will also be several in-person opportunities to share input. A representative will be available at the Plymouth City building Friday, August 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, August 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, August 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, September 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET, or at the Latino Festival Saturday, September 16.
