The first Marshall County Overdose Awareness Day is set for Thursday, August 31 from noon to 1:30 p.m. ET on the grounds of the Marshall County Courthouse.
Officials from David’s Courage, Bowen Center, Recover Michiana, and Dustin’s Place, have teamed up with Allendale Treatment and Fort Wayne Recovery to bring this event to Marshall County.
Overdose Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day to bring awareness to the devastating impact of overdose. The day acknowledges people who might go unseen, and the awareness hopes to end substance use. Grieving families, individuals, and first responders come together to offer support and break down stigma regarding the national crisis.
The event is open to the public and will take place at the Marshall County Courthouse. Lunch will be provided for the first 75 attendees.
