
A traffic stop led to a foot pursuit and an arrest in Plymouth Saturday, August 19.
Plymouth Police Department officers initiated the traffic stop in the area of Michigan and Garro at 8:45 p.m. ET.
Upon making contact with the vehicle, the driver fled on foot. A chase ensued and a perimeter was established in the area. K9 officer Castor was deployed and the subject was located hiding a short time later.
Jaheim Coleman, 21, of Elkhart was taken into custody on preliminary charges of driving while suspended, possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule drug and resisting law enforcement.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
