Officials from the Culver-Union Township Public Library will be taking public input today concerning a proposed interior modernization project.
A public input survey was recently completed to gather data on how spaces are currently used and may be used in the future. Among the spaces being considered for modernization are the library’s children’s room, adult circulation and collection areas, and public meeting spaces. Within the existing building, new spaces such as a designated teen area, a business/co-working space, and private study rooms are also being considered.
Library officials have been working with Arkos Design of Mishawaka with plans to refresh these areas.
Input is welcome from residents of the Town of Culver and Union Township to help inform how the interior spaces are redesigned. A community input session is scheduled for today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the north meeting room on the lower level of the library. This will be an open house style session, and community members are encouraged to drop in to offer feedback on the design options presented by Arkos Design.
