Chicago Man Arrested on Suspicion of Battery, Theft

Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to Lowe’s in Plymouth Friday, August 11 just before 6 p.m. ET for a reported theft with the suspect hitting a witness with a vehicle while fleeing the area.

The suspect headed eastbound on U.S. 30 with a Marshall County Sheriff’s deputy locating the vehicle east of Iris Road.  Plymouth officers at the scene took the suspect, Tekee Russell, 25 of Chicago, into custody on preliminary charges of battery with a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness and theft. 

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
