A traffic stop in Bremen initiated by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K9 unit Thursday, August 17 resulted in the arrest of two people.
Police say the traffic stop was conducted in the area of State Road 331 and 2B Road in Bremen. The driver of the vehicle, 30-year-old Kiara Nicole Hailey of Mentone was reportedly operating the vehicle as a habitual traffic violator.
During the traffic stop, the passenger of the vehicle provided police with a false name, according to the report. She was eventually identified as 31-year-old Heather Ross of Mishawaka.
Both Hailey and Ross were taken to the Marshall County Jail.
Hailey faces a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle as a habitual traffic violator while Ross faces preliminary charges of identity deception and false informing.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
