Two People Arrested after Suspicious Activity Reported

Plymouth Police Department officers responded to two separate incidents of suspicious activity Monday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Water and Washington Street Monday, July 3 at 4 a.m. ET for a report of a man walking up to homes and shining a flashlight.

Officers were provided a clothing description, and a short time later found Gary R. Beatty, 36, of Plymouth in the area of Garro and Plum Street.

Beatty was taken into custody and arrested on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement and possession of a syringe.

In a separate incident, Plymouth officers were called to a residence Monday, July 3 just before 1:30 a.m. ET on Jefferson Street to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Multiple subjects were located nearby and while identifying them it was found that Brian Napierkowski, 39, of Plymouth had active felony warrants in St. Joe County.

Napierkowski was taken to the Marshall County jail for the warrants with an additional preliminary charge of possession of marijuana.

Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
